I hate to be so bluntly isolationist but I don't think the USA was served by our participation in WWI and ultimately WWII as well. In Europe we traded Hitler for Stalin. In Asia, we ultimately traded Imperial Japan for Communist China. Lot of dead American bodies but was the world really a safer place? And it also crowned this intellectual Ivy League "ruling class" that values globalism over nationalism. They have been slowly ruining this country for the last 80 years.

Sam forgets to mention that two of the Al Qaeda terrorists were being recruited by CIA as sources months before 9/11. We were told that there was a communication problem between CIA and FBI due to the law and that the Patriot would fix it. However the real reason FBI was not informed was due to the fact that CIA was trying to develop sources. So the CIA sat on info about 911 sources for more than a month in order to develop two terrorists into sources and failed there primary mission which was to protect America from attack😮 The Patriot Act enabled FBI to spy on Americans. 😮 Inspector General investigation of FISA abuse discovered that 28 out of 28 random FISAs (going back decades) contained false data (known at the time of its creation to be false). This investigation occurred after four fraudulent FISA warrants were discovered in another IG investigation focused on Donald Trump) FBI and CIA appear to be corrupt since at least 2009😮 It took years after 9/11 to find out the real failure was due to CIA and nothing was done😮

I think you have a very different idea of "freedoms and liberties" that give people quality of life. People are starting to catch on that anytime these right-wing a sociopaths use the word "freedom", they are NOT talking about freedom for you and your family, they're talking about the freedom for the ruling class the business elites in this country to hoard all the wealth resources, while workers today now make less than what workers in the 70s were making. We have returned to a pre New deal era, a new gilded age in America. Being able to buy an AR-15 is not a freedom or a liberty, being able to support your family on a living wage, to have some sort of social safety net so you're not one paycheck away from eviction and living in the car living out of a car. Is what freedom is. Free from want free from a hunger that is freedom. Amazing the left is the one that pushed for changes that Americans now can't imagine being without like a social security a 4-day week of 40 hour work day all the labor games that were fought all the workers who died fighting for the causes of workers. Was thanks to the left. The Auto workers stood up to the big three recently and were able to make historic games for the workers who do grueling backbreaking work while a single CEO collects a pace salary proportionate to the GDP of a small country. Time trying to tie the left to near liberalism is hilarious neoliberalism is more in line with conservatives they will always join forces to protect the billionaire ruling class and to crush the left. Trying to desperately tie neoliberal Democrats to the left is desperate when anybody can see that both parties have been moving incrementally to the right for decades the more billionaires further capture our supreme Court are election finance laws in our politicians who are enriching themselves through the lobbyist industry which is not supporting a far right Israeli government committing the most horrific case of ethnic cleansing in our lifetimes.

If we could undo the Damage Ronald Reagan did we would have a great country again Reagan caused our manufacturing to be sent to China and Japan. We had Corporate raiders on Wall Street who chopped Corporations up and either sold them off or shipped them to China or put them in their portfolio. Before Reagan Corporations were loyal to its customers and employees and nation and Reagan passed laws that Corporate America only had to be loyal to stock holders and not loyal to customers employees and their nation. Reagan did away with the Fairness Doctorine. People couldn't get a job under Reagan. Companies closed their doors and put people on the streets. People had to start small businessess for work and thats why we have so many small businesses today. Reagan government introduced America to crony capitalism where the government is in bed with the Corporations. And this is what we have to end. We have to make term limits for Congress and Public financed campaigns for a start. Corporations have to be responsible to the public and employees and our nation not stock holders greed
